My Birth Story

It was the second time the fetal heartbeat monitor flashed red, the heartbeat had dipped below 60. The doctor came rushing in and examined me. The baby was under stress and we had to proceed with emergency c- section. I was put on a wheelchair and moved to a floor above where the ORs were. There was a minor confusion about the OP rooms and I remember yelling at a nurse.  Entering the OP room, I remember faintly noticing that it looked little unorganized and that there was no natural light. (yes, I did notice that at such a time : D) . Once on the table, the anesthesiologist(yes, I googled the spelling), bless that sweet lady, asked me not to worry and helped me calm down a bit. She told that she was going to insert a needle in my spine and it would hurt a little. But, I guess I was so pumped up with adrenaline that I didn't feel a thing, a slight prick may be. A pillar with a bright light was moved near me and an oxygen mask was put on me." Helloo..I can breathe alr...

Kid-Kit

I was straightening up the room,  it was 11 in the morning already n now that Dishu was done with his post bath nap, i had gotten a chance to fold the blankets.  I found the neighborhood aunty,  who is a frequent visitor, at the door of my room. After ignoring her for a full minute,  i bestowed upon her the worth of my acknowledgement and said a Namaste to her. Jug jug jiyo,  khush raho,  agle saal ek chota sa lalla ho jave.. If ever you have heard of a human volcano, I felt like one that instant!!  Couldn't form words,  gulped my anger down and ignored as if i didn't hear a thing.. Ye pahla lalla nahi sambhalra logon ko dusre ki chinta hone lagi.. :D

My Keto Journey

Yesterday I started back the Keto diet which is basically restricting your carbs intake to less than 20gms a day. Well, the goals of the diet is Weight loss as I am around 10 kg overweight!  I wanted to chronicle my meals and this would sure help me stay on track.. So here it is  Monday, 30th Oct 17 Breakfast was two 'Over -Easy' eggs( I got to know this way of making eggs is called 'Over-Easy' yesterday only, that was exciting :D)  Lunch - Daal and curd ( That, I later came to know, was a mistake! Dals are not Ket friendly and should be avoided while on a Ketogenic diet! Snack - Felt super hungry around evening so microwave an egg in a cup. Super easy. Dinner - 2 sausages and veggies 31st Oct, Tuesday(Halloween and Salary day) Well, everyone looks forward to the 'Your account has been credited message' at the end of the month and I used to celebrate the day with a mini feast of sorts, ordering my favorite snack ...

Dreams

Tucked by my side, Or holding my hand sometimes I see you in my dreams My flesh, my blood, my bone.. We travel far and wide With you my fears I overcome We swing by the tallest swings and Slide down a scary slide My flesh, my blood, my bone.. I haven't loved someone enough, I am not brave, but for you my baby I will go and defy all bounds For you.. My flesh, my blood, my bone.. For you, I promise..

Red

I love the red on her..  on her lips and in her eyes. It is a tad deeper than i usually like  but on her it looks .. divine  like the power of love..

Kavi kaise kahin

This masterpiece is being shared in watsapp..i soo wish i could know the writer!

The Echoing Green

By William Blake The sun does arise And make happy the skies; The merry bells ring To welcome the Spring; The skylark and thrush, The birds of the bush, Sing louder aroud To the bells' cheerful sound; While our sports shall be seen On the echoing green Old John, with white hair, Does laugh away care, Sitting under the oak, Among the old folk. They laugh at our play, And soon they all say, 'Such, such were the joys When we all - girls and boys In our youth-time were seen On the echoing green Till the little ones, weary, No more can be merry; The sun does descend, And our sports have an end. Round the laps of their mothers Many sisters and brothers, Like birds in their nest, Are ready for rest, And sport no more seen On the darkening green
