Hyderabadi..

"It was like any other ride around the lake. I was heading  home from the Library, after returning my books half read. It has been raining since Saturday morning and the lake was brimming. The other end lined by endless stretch of buildings had a grey backdrop of dark clouds pregnant with rains."

I found the above note in my One Note Notebook, thanks to Microsoft, I love this thing. The note reminded me of my autorides on the necklace road, one Sunday every two months after I had used all my passes of reissuing the books over phone. I seldom finished any but still diligently performed the charade of issuing 3 books and 2 mags every two months in my year long subscription with British Library. I have the concentration span of a two year old.

I miss the Auto fare, being in bangalore travelling 5 km in 45 bucks now seems like a dream. Hyderabad can give you an extra mile for the same money. It also reminded me of how independent I used to feel and what the year 2011 was..books, bird watching , photography , parks...

Nature came closure to me and I discovered what the city had to offer.   The Lotus Pond , a beautiful preserved ecospace near jublee hills , I would go there any time of the day to listen to the owl hoot and the fishes fight over the bread crumbs you throw at them..aah fills me with a longing I cannot put down in words.  Not to mention the splendid flowers sprinkled the  pathway  and the wooden arcs over  a small stream ..

It was one of those lazy holiday mornings, when all my plans to do something with my time pop themselves up as those cruel morning alarms, and I procrastinate the tasks to evening, then to late in the evening and finally put a lid on them with the label...' I wil do it for sure next weekend'. So I had already decided that today there is just me and my music and will  travel around India in text.

I had slept early last night , never realized when I fell asleep while listening to an audio book on 'Teanism of Asia' . The readers voice was really soothing. I plan to do a couple of experiments on the somnific qualities of that audio fileafter which  I am going to recommend it to my fellow insomniac friends. It was awkward getting up at 4 in the morning, with Laptop and related paraphernalia on my bed and my beloved soft kitty ,which I recently got as a gift from a friend , on the other end of the bed. I take him around the house like a kid love with her toy ,well people tell me that I never grew up anyway. All other attempts at going back to sleep  went in vain. The light was ON. I never close the room light if I am sleeping alone..m sucha sissy..:(

Hats off to the advertising team of Lavie , they have surely hit the bull's eye. I mean..that's how we are!!! Next time someone tries to make me feel horrible for not being sorted out..tells me I am too moody..I should change myself..blah blah and all that  bullshit…(I would like to say Fuck off but that’s not how things work ryt??) Kahne mein kya jaata hai

That moment when one of the prospective grooms you talked to while finalising on 'The One' gets engaged and sends you an invitation. You are curious to know how the 'bride to be' looks and it gives you immense relief to ascertain that you are better looking than her. :) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Writing is a very unique art. It lets your mind wander but in the right direction. It places you in oblivion but yet dawns upon you certain revelations. It locks you from the world but only to make you discover newer ones. Writing puts me at a different level of perception altogether. Its not about seeing your words in print but its about echoing your thoughts to the world. You can actually make a difference with your words! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The lack of confidence is taking a toll on life, its just that I am realizing it now. Never was competing with people about wo...

The Picture

Sifting through his almirah, Searching for a book He , drew out an old volume Off the rack, Something fell down, He turned , It was a picture of hers.. He has taken it, Silently, capturing her unaware While she was gulping down A 'Paani ka bataasha' He had waited for the right moment, Waited for her to open her mouth, Put the whole thing inside, Chew it softly, And squeeze her eyes 'Click'   'Waut u doin'?? She had asked with her mouth full.. I hate you for this, she squirmed Faking anger, she looked so silly He had decided he will get it printed.. With the silly face and disheveled   hair In the pale old picture She still looked beautiful..
